Maya Carter is an Atlanta native who loves working with people. After graduating from the university of West Georgia, she began her work as an educator specializing in children with special needs which she continues to do today. She has also gained experience serving for two years in a fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where she worked to implement programs that sought to prevent violence in neighborhoods across the United States.

She currently seeks to merge her love for the ARTS with her experience in public health and education to cultivate health and wellness in minority and underserved communities.
